This bottling is the fifth jewel in a series of six black XO bottlings from A.H. Riise.
The Founders Reserve bottlings show the highly complex art of blending.
For each bottling, a large number of casks with old rum qualities are selected and the unique aromas and flavors of each individual cask are combined coordinated.
Each individual cask shows unique aromas and forms of expression.
The fifth batch has a circulation of 13,995 bottles worldwide, the data for the batch are in orange letters for the fifth edition.< /p>
The font color and the alcohol content change for each of the six editions.
Tasting Notes: This is how the A.H. Riise XO Founders Reserve Collector's Edition #5 tastes like
- Nose: ripe fruits, mainly mango, papaya and some pineapple, behind them black cherries, spicy aromas and the scent of tobacco leaves
- Palate: mouth-filling and soft - at the beginning the fruit again, joined by notes of ripe stone fruit, figs and sweet dates - above all roasted notes of roasted nuts and oak wood
- Finish: very soft and long finish - an elegant balance between elegant sweetness and well-integrated acidity - slightly spicy notes

50ml Founders Reserve
15ml Velvet Falernum
5ml maple syrup
3 dashes Creole Bitters
Decoration: shiso leaves and lime peel
Place all ingredients in a mixing glass, add some ice.
Stir for 15-20 seconds and pour directly into a chilled lowball glass with ice.
Add the shiso leaf and lime zest for garnish and serve.
