Starward leads the way for the New World category.
The "Most Awarded Distillery of the Year 2022" relies on purely Australian ingredients, 100% (strong) wine casks and intensive aging in Melbourne's changeable weather.
Starward laid the foundation for the accessible, uncomplicated single malts from Australia's pleasure center with Solera.
The whiskey, which has won multiple awards (including double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021), is named after the traditional method that the Spaniards use to mature their sherry in order to keep it consistent.
Inspired by this, every bottle of Starward Solera still contains a touch of the distillery's very first cask.
The single malt is aged in McWilliams Winery Apera casks.
For decades, the Australian liqueur wine, which is similar to sherry, has been pre-assigned to the oak, which has a very intense taste.
Full-bodied and well-balanced with jammy fruit, crème brûlée and spices, Starward Solera can be enjoyed neat, over ice, shaken in a classic cocktail - or with food.
