Product information "Bladnoch Alinta 47%vol. 0,7l"
With Bladnoch Alinta, Scotland's southernmost distillery opens a new chapter and introduces the first heavily peated Bladnoch Single Malt Whisky.
Alinta means fire or flames in the language of the Australian natives, which is why David Prior, the Australian owner of Bladnoch Distillery, presents his latest bottling with this suffix.
Bladnoch Alinta is a heavily peated Distillate from 2009 (still made under the previous owners) matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks as well as heavily peated new production (since 2017) distillate matured in first fill ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Bottled naturally without the addition of colorings and without chill filtration, with an alcohol content of 47%vol.

The special feature of this single malt is its uniqueness - because the 2009 Alinta shares were produced with the old still, on the one hand, and on the other hand this only happened once.
The then owners of Bladnoch distilled only one single batch of heavily peated malt in 2009, so it is truly a rarity.

In combination with the new distillate, matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, the result is an impressive and multi-faceted drop.

Nose: lots of smoke and aromas of ice cream, plus delicate floral aromas and sweetness Oak
Palate: clear campfire smoke, almonds and raisins coated in chocolate
Finish: long finish with lots of sweet peat smoke
