The big advantage of blended whisky?
You are not limited to the character of one distillery, but can enjoy the best qualities from different distilleries combined.
Hardly anyone enables this at such a high level as Compass Box.
John Glaser and team create textures and flavors that a single whisky often cannot achieve.
For their luxury blends, the "whisky makers" combine high-quality single malt and single grain whiskys from their own cask store in Scotland.

John Glaser and his team built their Experimental Grain Whisky on a batch of Loch Lomond Whisky, which, excitingly, is not a grain.
It is based exclusively on peated barley malt, but is distilled in the Coffey Still.
So you can't call him Malt....

Compass Box therefore describes the whisky with notes of pear, vanilla and smoke as "single grain".
Exotic-fruity ingredients from North British, spicy-sweet Single Grain from Cameronbridge and the creamy Compass Box Blended Grain Hedonism masterfully round off the appetizing Limited Edition.

Nose: a tantalizing aroma of contrasts - banana and toffee blend with a smooth, savory smoky note from the grill and hints of rum and raspberry
Palate: smooth and oily with notes of almond and vanilla before developing into a curious, delicious taste of burnt pine cones
