The first sugar cane was planted on Reunion Island in the 17th century.
The fertile land of the island, full of volcanic ash , forms several minerals that affect the growth of sugar cane to the greatest extent.
The tropical, oceanic, maritime, humid, spray-laden climate has a very positive effect on Isautier rums.
Secret de Canne is an excellent Isautier rum, made from the best island sugar cane juice.
Its special secret (secret de canne) alludes to the fact that it consists of a blended rum of 50% white clear agricultural rum and 50% aged dark agricultural rum.
This explains its beautiful dark golden colour.
Nose and palate notice fresh, fruity, floral and also finely iodized notes, with light warm nuances of spice and a hint of sweetness.
Pleasantly flattering on the palate on the finish.
