Hardly changed the production: Edradour works largely as in the 19th century, including with original equipment.
Long since a legend among Single Malt fans, the distillery fills its peatiest single malts under the Ballechin brand, distilled from malt with at least 50ppm smoke content.

A dream for peat friends?
In collaboration with the German importer, Edradour went one more experimental step - and built the" heavily pe ated "Highlander in a Rhum Agricole barrel.
Previously filled with the highly aromatic AOC Rhum Agricole Martinique from the small distillery Rhum JM, the barrel makes this Ballechin an exotic special bottling.
The label of the 12-year-old highlights this: It is based on the flag of the Caribbean island.
Only 274 bottles are available - the exotic is therefore limited to one bottle per customer.
