Founded in 1810 on the Isle of Jura, Jura produced in the In the beginning a very heavily peated, almost unplaned malt.
In the 60s of the 20th century the distillery was equipped by the then owners "Scottish & Newcastle Breweries" with larger stills that produce a milder Whisky.
Today the distillery is owned by the Kyndal Group.
Nose: fresh with soft, malty aromas, moist s Hay and some peat - a trace of oak and anise
Taste: mouth-filling, now even more grain notes, plus fudge and again anise - creamy soft - then honey and caramel - in the background licorice and roasted coffee
Finish : long finish with winter spices
