Profile: What Makes Pimm’s No. 1 Special
Bar owner James Pimm created the legendary Pimm’s No. 1 Cup. To this day Pimm’s is bottled to an unchanged, still secret recipe; the base is a dry gin, plus spices and citrus fruit, including caramelised orange. The classic is the Classic Pimm’s Fizz: put 1 part Pimm’s and 2 parts lemonade in a glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a slice each of cucumber, lime and mint leaves.
