This Landmark Series will feature the landmarks of the Kintyre Peninsula and stands for the fruit flavors of Glen Scotia.
For release no. 2 was selected as "Crosshill Hole," which continues to supply water to Campbeltown's distilleries, as it did in Victorian times. It was commissioned by the Duke of Argyll in the mid-19th century to serve the once over 30 distilleries in Campbeltown with a steady and qualitative source.
Nose: tropical fruits and demerara sugar, behind salty sea air and some tang
Taste: surprisingly soft in the taste, again the fruit, now clearly mango and papaya, light citrus notes, paired with sea salt and spicy notes
Finish: long on the finish - fruity with a pleasant sweetness, in addition light oak spice
