Hampdens Pure Single Rum matures for at least seven years in the tropical climate of Jamaica - equivalent to a maturity of about 25 years in Europe!
The rum is made with pure spring water to a drinking strength of 46% vol. Alcohol content reduced and bottled without additives.
Aroma: clearly fruity aromas of ripe bananas and papaya, followed by brown cane sugar and orange peel
Taste: soft, almost creamy mouthfeel - a slight sweetness of tropical fruits is in the foreground - then spicier with aniseed, cloves and cardamom - in the background Schinus berries - over all ripe plums and black cherries
Departure: long finish with an elegant fruity note, paired with the spices
