The 2018 edition of the Big Peat Christmas shows the Big Peat as a Santa Claus at a chimney over the city at the gifts this time.
The ninth edition includes single malts from seven Islay distilleries!
As usual for the Christmas edition, the 2018 bottling was bottled in barrel strength, this time with 53.9% vol. - and - as always, without cold filtration and without dyes!
Aroma: strong smoky with moist soot and moist seaweed, with tar and sweet honey in the background
Taste: mouth-filling with intense notes of warm chimney smoke and burning logs, again the seaweed and the tar - phenolic notes, to iodine and gauze bandages - above all sweet tones of spicy honey and some caramel
Departure: very long and warming on the finish - smoke, phenols and honey remain present for a long time

Lecker. Einer von vier weihnachtslichen Whiskys, die ich als Samples (je 10cl) im Set anbiete. Rauchig, Fassstärke, ungefärbt ... passt!
