Profile: What Makes Black Bull Kyloe Special
A blended Scotch whisky from the Black Bull range, named after a breed of Highland cattle – Kyloe – created by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. The blend relies on a high malt content: selected Speyside malts from refill bourbon and sherry casks were married with aged grain whisky and bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration.
Tasting Notes: What Black Bull Kyloe Tastes Like
- Nose: Warm syrup and fruity aromas of apples and pears – spicy tones in the background; toffee apple, clementine and toasted oak
- Palate: Soft notes of ripe fruit, above all raisins and dark berries, then nuts and creamy milk chocolate; hazelnut
- Finish: Long with plenty of vanilla; plus cream and oak
