Nose: warm porridge with honey and raisins, followed by rich, nutty aromas and blackcurrants
Palate: fresh barley and fruit compote - especially strawberries, with roasted almonds
Finish: long finish with notes of orange peel, dark chocolate and old leather

Für meinen Geschmack ein sehr gepflegter und zivilisierter Whisky, passt sehr gut zu ruhigeren Abenden. Ausgewogen rauchig und süß (wobei ich persönlich eigentlich keine Süße brauche), nicht aufdringlich, aber sehr lang schmeckend. Man merkt ihm deutlich die Reife an. Vom Charakter finde ich z.B. den Ardbeg Uigeadail oder den Lagavulin 16 prägnanter, was mir besser gefällt, aber der Knockando 18 ist ein rundum guter Whisky, mit dem man nichts falsch machen kann.
