Jameson's Caskmates is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey that first matured in oak casks, then in former stout beer casks from the Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork. The result is an elegant Jameson with additional notes of coffee, cocoa and fresh hops.

Bei einer Blindverkostung fiel dieser Whiskey durch seinen süßen Antritt auf und den leicht öligen, hauptsächlich milden Charakter. Dass die Reifung in Bierfässern erfolgte, haben wir nicht erkannt, aber dass er gerade auch wegen des sehr günstigen Preises das Zeug zu einem "Alltags-Whiskey" hat, das schon.
