Regional Malts from Douglas Laing 4x 0,7l
From the four classic whiskey regions of Scotland (Islay, the Scottish Islands, Speyside and Highlands), Douglas Laing presents a Vatted Malt Whiskey that unites the traditional values of each region.
Big Peat - 46% vol. 0,7l
"One scoop full" Islay Malt Whiskeys!
Including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and even Port Ellen!
For "Big Peat" the best Islay single malts were married to each other.
This strong-smoky blended malt gives away the winter spirits and makes for a fire on the palate!
Aroma: a typical Islay nose with fine peat and smoke aromas, followed by a fine sweetness
Taste: a full broadside peat smoke, followed by a nice, balanced sweetness - complex with dominant peat, but leaves enough room for sweeter notes
Finish: mid-length finish, very pleasant - again with lots of smoke and a dry sweetness - a wonderful "drink" for Islay lovers and those who want to become one
Rock Oyster - 46.8% vol. 0,7l
A Vatted Malt Whiskey (only selected single malt whiskeys from the Scottish islands of Jura, Islay, Arran and the Orkney Islands were used for this bottling) from Douglas Laing.
A tribute to the sea using the finest maritime malt whiskeys.
Rock Oyster is a translation of the delicious rock oysters from the depths of the sea where, with good luck, you can find a pearl.
This malt whiskey hides the treasure in the bottle - delicate, tasteful and rich in flavor with aromas of the stormy, North Atlantic Sea.
As with Douglas Laing, of course, without the addition of dyes and without cold filtering.
Aroma: coastal rocks lapped by the sea and a fresh, salty sea breeze
Taste: soft notes of sweet peat, smoke and honey - then moist ash, liquorice and a hint of pepper
Finish: long finish, in which the strong aromas and notes come back again clearly
This whiskey makes you want to sea!
Scallywag - 46% vol. 0,7l
Fox Terriers are the favorite dogs of the Laing family - they provided the inspiration for the new creation of the renowned independent bottler from Scotland.
Because the little scamps (wee Scallywags) are known to be sweet and at the same time cheeky - character traits that they share with the spicy and delightfully sweet Speyside Blended Malt.
Only the finest Speyside malts, including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, are included in Scallywag.
Bottled with 46% alcohol content and not cold-filtered, this Small Batch bottling has a bright golden color thanks to its maturation in exBourbon and Spanish exSherry casks.
Aroma: sweet and spicy character, artfully interwoven with delicious vanilla notes
Taste: Almost a journey of discovery through several flavors of fruit compote, Christmas cake and dark chocolate, paired with a fine infusion of spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg
Finish: a true fireworks of oranges, sweet tobacco, cocoa and lush fruit cake
Timorous Beastie - 46.8% vol. 0,7l
Timorous Beastie got its name from the poem To a mouse by Robert Burns, probably the most famous poet and poet of Scotland.
This Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey is an ode to the Scottish Highlands - and so only single malts from the Highlands find their way to this little mouse!
Distilleries such as Blair Athol, Glen Garioch, The Dalmore and Glengoyne are represented.
Aroma: typical flavors of Scottish heather and wild mountain honey combine skilfully with warm notes of fine wood, raisin pastry and spice to a typical Highland character.
Taste: Touch of vanilla that blends with a blend of fruity compote, dark chocolate, aromatic orange, sherry notes and sweet tobacco
Finish: mid-length finish with lots of fruit and vanilla - traces of heather
