Ron Zacapa Sistema 23 Solera Gran Reserva 40% vol. 0.7l - with 2 glasses
The Ron Zacapo is distilled in Guatemala, 2,300 meters above sea level.
The barrels used are between 6 and 23 years old, the Solera Gran Reserve is produced and bottled in the Solera process (commonly used in sherry production).
For this purpose, first different rum barrels are married together in a solera barrel.
Only half of this solera cask is bottled, the other half remaining in the cask and replenished with a new batch.
Ron Zacapa is made exclusively from fresh sugar cane juice.
Zacapa uses old bourbon, sherry and Pedro Ximénez barrels for rum storage.
Aroma: vanilla, almond, with sweet, fruity aromas, some chocolate, toasted wood and a bit spicy in the background
Taste: The taste again recognizes the vanilla and almonds, again fruity sweet and very balanced
Finish: the finish very long and elegant
