Benriach aged this Speyside malt whisky in former Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for 12 years. The result is a rich, aromatic single malt whiskey with lots of fruit, dark chocolate and spices.

Nose: like a fruit salad with figs, pears, apricots and glazed cherries with mandarin syrup - followed by aromas of cake spread with honey, caramel cream and roasted vanilla pods
Taste: a rich fruit cocktail with figs soaked in honey, baked pineapple and sultanas - behind them chocolate fondant and muscovado sugar - in the background mandarins, ground nutmeg and vanilla
Finish: ripe nectarines, candied grapes and star anise - lots of sherry above all.

Ein kräftiger Sherryfass-Whisky. Wer europäische Eiche kennenlernen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Zunächst süß und fruchtig-würzig wird er zum Abgang hin deutlich trockener und zartbitter.
