Glenfarclas Ed. No. 18 1989/2014 John Duns Scotus 46% vol. 0,7l
John Duns Scotus (1265-1308)
Scotus was one of the first thinkers of the Middle Ages who regarded philosophy and theology as distinct disciplines with varying degrees of statement.
He was a theologian and philosopher of scholasticism and combined in it, among other things, the teachings of Aristotle, Augustine and the Franciscans in a subtle way - this brought him in his contemporaries the name Doctor subtilus.
John Duns Scotus taught his knowledge in Cambridge, Oxford, Paris and Cologne.
