The Tyrconnell 40% vol. 0.7l - old design
Originally The Tyrconnell was produced in the long-time largest Irish distillery Abbey Street Distillery, owned by AA Watt & Co.
Tyrconnell was a bestseller in the United States until Prohibition - Prohibition brought AA Watt & Co. to its knees and bankruptcy.
Cooley remembered the brand and so today is again The Tyrconnell - named AA Watt on the label, which was revived for it.
The racehorse pictured on the label is the famous namesake for the whiskey that was once owned by the Watt family.
Aroma: sweet and fruity on the nose with a dry oak note and oily aromas - slightly malty
Taste: full and sweet in the taste, the malty notes become more dominant, buttered toast and honey
Finish: dry finish with notes of grass and spices
