Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight 45% vol. 0.7l with two glasses
The Samuels have distilled their whiskey (Scottish spelling!) For five generations now.
It all began in 1844 with Taylor W. Samuels, a relative of Daniel Boone and Jesse James!) With his distillery in Deatsville.
The current Star Hill distillery was built in 1889 in Loretto, Nelson County, Kentucky.
Bill Samuels bought it in 1953 and renovated it vigorously.
From 1959, Maker's Mark grew to become the market leader in Kentucky, and even from the scene pubs of New York, the bourbon with the red master seal (English Maker's Mark) is an integral part.
Aroma: lots of fruit and spicy honey, with hazelnuts and roasted oak
Taste: rich and full in the taste - clearly rye and spicy notes, again nutty notes, with Butterscotch and vanilla
Departure: slightly sweet on the finish - butterscotch and spicy oak again
