This is the highly successful attempt of the distillery Midleton to reproduce the whiskey from the original distillery John's Lane.
The whiskey matured in American oak barrels and in Spanish sherry casks.
Nose: freshly beaten oak, with aromas of orange, barley and leather
Taste: very soft and round, with plenty of vanilla, roasted coffee and dark chocolate - plus dark, ripe fruits, especially raisins and blackcurrants - slightly spicy
Finish: lots of vanilla and light spicy notes, a bit fruity
