With this Speyside peat bomb Benriach wants to commemorate the Speyside whiskys of the late 19th century.
During this time, Speyside malts were also mild to vigorous.
Nose: reminiscent of a medicine cabinet, plus fresh grass and heather - warm asphalt, slightly sweet
Taste: sweet and strongly smoky, clear iodine and pepper - very warm with nutty notes
Finish: oak, tar and peat - some fennel, slightly sweet on the finish

Toller rauchiger Malt aus der Speyside! Und auch noch fruchtig und frisch. Da er mit 46% abv abgefüllt wird, nicht gefärbt und nicht kaltfiltriert ist, präsentiert er sich auf ziemlich naturbelassene Art und Weise. Kann man nur empfehlen.
