A true stroke of genius by Ian MacLeod!
Ian MacLeod is allowed to recognize the distillery from which this malt does not originate, but once tasted it will be recognized immediately!
A true taste firework of peat, smoke and spices - in a wonderful combination with a delicate sweetness.

Aroma: heavy smoke and peat, lime, fresh ginger, plum puree and spicy
Taste: like a cannonball he hits the palate with cocoa, peat and delicate honey sweetness, followed by pepper and more earthy peat
Finish: a long finish with peat, spices, tangerine - which comes back again!

Volumenlos und Unrund

Einmal okay, aber ich bleibe bei den traditionellen islay whisky.
Anfangs sehr scharf und rauchig. Danach etwas sauer und der rauch nimmt stark ab. Im Abgang bleibt er scharf und etwas sauer. Es bleibt leichter rauch.
Die fruchtige note fehlt fast komplett - die säure lässt geschmacklich nicht, wie beschrieben, auf limette hindeuten. Im allgemein ist er sehr salzig, mir fehlt aber das "Meeraroma".
