Portrait: What makes the Glenfarclas 2014 “The Dunnage Warehouses” The Trinity Vintage Series No. 2 special

Anyone who thought that whisky couldn't also handle a bit of architecture and history should take a look at the Glenfarclas Trinity Vintage Series No. 2. This limited edition, exclusive to Germany, celebrates the distillery's time-honored tradition of aging in its venerable Dunnage Warehouses - and no, that's not a fancy name for a storage shelf, but for old, charming warehouses with thick stone walls, low slate roofs and earthen floors.
Here, a maximum of three casks are stacked on top of each other, ensuring a consistently high evaporation rate – and thus the quality of the whisky practically improves on its own. The second edition of the Trinity Vintage Series, lovingly packaged in the "black tin," continues the tradition of the celebrated red tin. After maturation in 100% sherry casks, the Glenfarclas 2014 is bottled at a proud 59.2% ABV cask strength. This results in a robust personality that immediately reveals: there's history in this glass.
Chairman John L.S. Grant sums it up perfectly: this traditional maturation may seem inefficient at first glance, but it's the key to the typical Glenfarclas character. With this edition, you're not just getting a whisky, but a small piece of distillery history, packaged in a limited edition with German exclusivity.
Those who enjoyed the first Trinity Series will love the sequel – and those who missed it now have the chance to grab the second installment.

In short: Glenfarclas 2014 “The Dunnage Warehouses” is a powerful cask strength single malt, a tribute to centuries-old storage tradition and the perfect addition to any whisky collection.
And the best part: You don't have to travel to Scotland for it – the black tin delivers history, craftsmanship, and exclusivity directly to your home.

About Glenfarclas' Dunnage Warehouses

Although this storage method may seem inefficient at first glance, Chairman John L.S. Grant that it is indispensable for the characteristic standard of a Glenfarclas Single Malt.
