The LAGG Distillery is the second distillery on the Island of Arran and is part of the Arran Distillery.
LAGG produces a smoky Single Malt Whisky in contrast to Arran Whisky.
The LAGG Kilmory Edition matures 100% in first-fill Bourbon Barrels. The single malt whisky is distilled from malted barley of the Concerto variety.
The water used is obtained from the in-house well.
The LAGG Kilmory Edition is bottled with an alcohol content of 46%vol. , without chill filtration and without dyes.
Tasting Notes: This is how the LAGG Kilmory Edition tastes like
- Nose: pronounced aromas of charred citrus fruits and the smoke of burning heather
- Palate: intense fruity notes at the beginning, then hints develop of campfire smoke and ripe citrus fruits - some vanilla in the background
- Finish: long in the finish - now the vanilla is clearer, plus the citrus fruits again
