It wasn't until 1988 that Andrew Symington founded the Signatory Vintage Scotch Whiskey Company Ltd. Nevertheless, the exclusive bottlings from one of Scotland's most successful “indie bottlers” have become an integral part of whisky fans' shelves. The limited bottlings from a few barrels come onto the market in series - such as the Signatory Un-Chillfiltered Range. Single malts from the series are available at an ideal drinking strength of 46%vol. bottled. Thanks to the absence of chill filtration and coloring, they provide natural moments of enjoyment.

Signatory  matured the smooth, nutty-malty Knockando 10 year old 2011/2022 in Dechar/Rechar Hogsheads (or Alligator Casks) which ensure a distinct character.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Knockando 10 year old Dechar/Rechar Hogsheads Un-Chillfiltered Signatory tastes like

• Nose: spicy aromas reminiscent of tobacco leaves, cardamom and malt - then dried herbs, some vanilla and slightly fruity tones
• Palate: spicy and rich in taste, again the spicy notes and the malt, then the fruity notes become more present
• Finish: medium-long finish - soft and fruity with slightly spicy tones
