Sherry butts from Spanish bodegas, barrique barrels from Europe's top winemakers, fine bourbon casks from the USA: an outstanding treasure of wood is Murray McDavid's trademark. Founded in 1994 by industry giants like Mark Reynier, the renowned independent bottler has been successfully revived by Edward Odim and Dean Jode (Aceo Ltd) since 2013. Single malt and grain whisky, vatted malts and blended whisky bring them to demanding connoisseurs in various series.
The single malt journeys are available exclusively in Germany. The exclusive series puts you in the contemplative evening atmosphere of southern port cities. That fits, because the enjoyable Premier trio matured exclusively in Portuguese and Spanish (single) barrels.
The third bottling in the round is an 11-year-old Ardmore, distilled on June 2nd, 2011.
Murray McDavid left the spicy-smoky Highland Malt to rest in a Madeira and a Tawny Port Cask and thus created the complex cuvée < /strong>Ardmore 11 Years 2011/2023.
In 2023 the barrels were married and only 521 bottles were bottled.
