Sherry butts from Spanish bodegas, barrique barrels from Europe's top winemakers, fine bourbon casks from the USA: an outstanding treasure of wood is Murray McDavid's trademark. Founded in 1994 by industry giants like Mark Reynier, the renowned independent bottler has been successfully revived by Edward Odim and Dean Jode (Aceo Ltd) since 2013. Single malt and grain whisky, vatted malts and blended whisky bring them to demanding connoisseurs in various series.
The single malt journeys are available exclusively in Germany. The exclusive series puts you in the contemplative evening atmosphere of southern port cities. That fits, because the enjoyable Premier trio matured exclusively in Portuguese and Spanish (single) barrels.
The first in the round is an 11-year-old Craigellachie, distilled on March 08, 2011.
The single malt spent the entire maturation period in the 1st-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead #180015.
