Numerous whisky fans have succumbed to it: the tasty magic of peat . Because the independent bottler Michel Reick, as a whisky druid, is very familiar with cask magic, he has married peaty finds from the Signatory Vintage warehouse into a magic potion. In the already second batch of his Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, "Peat heads" meet hearty campfire smoke, accompanied by spicy leather. Raisins, honey and milk chocolate add sweetness.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Zaubertrank Batch 2 tastes
- Nose: subtle campfire smoke, but stronger than in the first batch, combines with leather and sweet-fruity aromas of raisins, rapeseed honey, peach compote and increasingly milk chocolate
- Palate: campfire smoke and fruit compote - overall lighter than on the nose, with honey and subtle raisins
- Finish: sweet, medium length and with fine smoke in the medium length finish
