Befitting his status, he took his time for his big appearance: The new Signatory Seasons is also the last. Almost ten years ago the series of season drams started with the Ledaig 2004/2014. More than 30 selected single casks from Signatory Vintage's wood treasure were exclusively brought to Germany during this period. For the finale with fanfare, the series returns to the islands - with the 17-year-old Secret Orkney 2005/2023.

The Winter Edition 2022 comes to the high temperatures just right. The fresh and frosty designed single malt brings cooling off from the wet and cold Orkney Islands in the far north of Scotland. After almost two decades in the First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, it combines light smoke with maritime freshness, spices, pomegranate and orange sorbet. Tasting Notes: This is how the Secret Orkney 17 year old 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt DRU 17/A63 #6 Single Cask Seasons Signatory tastes like

• Nose: very complex and interwoven with light smoke and dark sherry fruits - maritime, slightly salty with hints of heather - aromas of caramel and coniferous wood in the background
• Palate: Dark grapes, sweet pomegranate and hints of orange sorbet at the beginning - followed by a hint of smoke and various spices, rounded off by hazelnuts, crème brûlée and some cinnamon
• Finish: long and round on the finish - the grapes and the sherry fruit are present, as well as the spicy notes and the hazelnuts
