An extremely elegant representative Hazelburn is the third of its kind and next to Springbank and Longrow.
Bottled for the first time in 1997, this fine single malt whiskey is produced with air-dried malt and is unpeated. It goes through the copper stills three times for distillation.
The result is light and fruity: a subtle malt whisky, which in its successful combination seems to refine the different nuances of taste.
Tasting Notes: This is how the 21 year old Hazelburn tastes
- Nose: First reminiscent of leather-bound old books, damp bungs and the scent of Dunnage warehouses, then sweet aromas of molasses , caramel and ripe blackberries
- Palate: Marshmallows and cotton candy are present, followed by sweet syrup and mineral notes - earthy tones above all
- Finish: long finish with hints of cocoa powder, cappuccino and mint
