In the evergreen Macouba on Martinique, Rhum J.M is one of the few distilleries in the world that distil Rhum Agricole.
The small traditional company follows the strict ones Provisions of the “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée”. How to meet such high standards of production and enjoyment has been passed on at Rhum J.M since 1845 - up to "Maître de chai" Karine Lassalle, who is now responsible for the diverse range of products of the Antilles distillery.
For La Dame Jeanne No.1, Lasalle combined six rums distilled between 2004 and 2014. They matured in bourbon casks as well as French oak casks filled with wine and were married cask-strong.
The assemblage, limited to 2,501 bottles reminiscent of the Glass container called “Dame Jeanne” for storage and former transport of rum.

Tasting Notes: This is how the rhum J.M La Dame Jeanne No. 1 tastes like.
- Nose: light aromas of tropical fruits - banana, mango and some papaya can be seen, behind them light vanilla aromas and hints of spices
- Palate: soft and mild in taste - at the beginning the fruit again, then more clearly spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander
- Finish: long and soft on the finish - fruity and spicy tones in harmony
