Edradour has not only been in business since it was taken over by Andrew Symington in 2002 quite high on the popularity scale of single malt fans.
The unadulterated whiskies of the distillery located in the Highlands east of Pitlochry are made with original equipment from the 19th century.
For six new single casks in January 2023, "Scotland's Little Gem" joined forces with family-run wineries from Germany.
The Pawis winery from Freyburg is a member of the Association of German quality wine estates (VDP) and nationally known.
Edradour Single Malt from first-fill bourbon casks matured for 46 months in Pawis Pinot Noir casks and became the Edradour 11 Years 2010/2022 PAWIS Pinot Noir Hogshead #1 (Finish) both in drinking strength as well as with the Edradour 11 Years 2010/2022 PAWIS Pinot Noir Hogshead #2 (Finish) bottled at cask strength.
The velvety-fruity aromas of the Burgundy give the whiskies their special character.
