Islay - arguably no other area is as entrenched in whisky production as the Hebridean island.
It is only around 620 square kilometers in size and yet home to nine active distilleries.
Drams from the "Queen of the Hebrides" are highly prized among connoisseurs.
Single malt Scotch whiskies that are created amidst the dramatic island landscape are something special: With their strongly smoky and maritime aromas they stand out on the whisky map.
 
Smoky Scot captures the character of the island.
Aceo Single Malt Scotch Whisky is distilled on Islay's north east coast and is synonymous with the iconic whiskies of its homeland.
The product of choice for smoking fans appears in a special edition exclusively for Germany.

The Smoky Scot 8 years later matured in Oloroso sherry casks and balanced at a cask strength of 54.6% vol.
Peat and campfire smoke with a lovely oiliness and notes of raisins, nuts and cinnamon.
