The cask strength bottling of Kilchoman Cask Strength was planned for 2021 - but many circumstances delayed the release, so the 2021 release will appear in December 2022.

The vatting of Kilchoman Cask Strength 2021 is based on the cask combination of Machir Bay, but at cask strength with an alcohol content of 58.3%vol.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength Edition 2021

  • Aroma: at the beginning, the Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength has light, fruity aromas of green apples, followed by candied tropical fruits - above all dry, earthy peat smoke
  • taste: noticeably powerful with concentrated flavors of lemon and orange peel, behind which honeycomb and milk chocolate emerge in this Kilchoman
  • taste: a light spice note of black pepper combined with nutmeg - the oily, rich texture of this Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength Edition 2021 single malt delivers an increasingly smoky influence - an elegant balance of heavily peated malt, slow distillation, and spicy oak
