In the middle of the hilly postcard idyll lies the Cotswolds Distillery, founded in 2014 in the small village of Shipston-on-Stour as the first full-scale distillery in the region.
Inspired by the breathtaking landscape, the distillery produces all-natural whisky from locally sourced, floor-malted barley.
Exclusively for Germany, the Cotswolds Distillery allowed their fruity, complex raw brandy to mature in a particularly aromatic way.
The Cotswolds 6 Year Old Single Oloroso Sherry Hogshead #722 matured in a Spanish oak hogshead, pre-loaded with dry, nutty Oloroso-type sherry.
The tempting dark single cask bottling flowed with 59.9% vol. Cask Strength straight from the barrel in a total of 297 bottles.
