Last Christmas, we gave you a dram... And that's what the Hammerschmiede distillery is doing again this year: the ElsBurn Cosy Winter VIII is in the starting blocks, exclusively bottled.
This year's edition of the Hercynian Single Malt is the liquid substitute for visiting the Christmas market - which we will probably have to do without again.
With smoked ham and malty sweetness, spice and raisins as well as dark chocolate and almonds, the taste profile of the wintry drama is reminiscent of the wonderful moment of stepping into the warm light cone of a Christmas market hut, which attracts with delicious smells.

A masterful combination of southern and sweet wine barrels is responsible for the warm red-brown of the seventh bottling in the series.
The Harz distillers chose malaga, Marsala and port wine Casks for their winter whisky.
For campfires -Feeling they filled them with "gently woodsmoked", i.e. slightly smoky Hercynian single malt.
The dram for the cold season was made in a natural form - without coloring and without chillfiltration - as well as in aromatic cask strength with an alcohol content of 52,3%vol. filled in 1,344 bottles.
