For this bottling, Gordon & MacPhail selected a 14-year-old GlenAllachie from Speyside, Scotland, which matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks.
Nose: mild, soft aromas of heather honey, some vanilla and dried bananas - then light nutty aromas
Palate: mouth-filling and soft in taste - now much more fruity, again the bananas, plus fresh fruit cake and some marzipan - butterscotch and fresh herbs in the background
Finish: long finish with soft, full tones of heather, exotic fruits and caramel
