No less as the St. Lucia Distillers are responsible for the rum qualities under the name Admiral Rodney.
The Admiral Rodney rums celebrate Admiral George Rodney's famous naval victory over the French at the Battle of Les Saintes in 1782, where the British secured control of the Caribbean.
The names of the rums in this series come from of the ships that distinguished themselves in battle.
HMS Princessa, HMS Royal Oak and Admiral Rodney's flagship, HMS Formidable, shone in battle and "broke the line" of the French fleet.

The Admiral Rodney HMS Monarch is a blended rum made from six to nine year old rum qualities that matured in ex-bourbon and port casks.
Colour: dark mahogany
Nose: a delicate scent of sweet sultanas and vanilla with hints of red and black fruits
Palate: sweet with hints of brown cane sugar, pralines and candied fruit
Finish: Long lingering finish with toasted oak and tropical spices - pleasantly balanced and complex
