New grape treasure at Kirsch Import & GrapeDiggaz: Armagnac Aurian enriches the portfolio

Under the name GrapeDiggaz, the Wu DRAM Clan and Kirsch Import are dedicated to the grape.
As an independent bottler, they jointly raise - with a focus on cognac and armagnac - the treasures of the brandy regions of this world for whiskey, rum fans and Co.

The search criteria? 100 percent transparency and cask-strength bottlings without additives as well as an attractive offer to our dealers.
In addition to distillates of the highest quality, adequate quantities and an excellent price-performance ratio are also driving forces in our treasure hunt.

The latest find is from Aurian and marks the Armagnac house's entry into the imported brand portfolio.
At Aurian he has that say: Taste!
Without compromise, he determines when a distillate is really mature - even if that means that less remains in the end.
The House of Aurian has had experience in dealing with taste since 1880.
The company from Condom specializes in getting the best out of the grapes from the surrounding vineyards with a mobile distillery.

Only strictly selected distillates make it into the in-house cellar, where the humidity remains largely constant even in the hottest months.
Ideal conditions for Armagnac maturation.
Only a few distillates remain in the same cask for more than a year: depending on the development, the current heads of the house, Isabella and Henry, fill Armagnac into other casks and thus emphasize the characteristics of each vintage.

The result is handcrafted products of the highest quality - always natural and bottled at cask strength, the house's vintage Armagnacs date back to the year 1900.

The Armagnac Maison Aurian 1995/2022 GrapeDiggaz is a special distillate made from 30% Ugni Blanc and 70% Baco grapes.
The hybrid vine is a cross between the Folle Blanche and Noah varieties.
Created in 1898, the acidic Baco grape is only grown on a small scale today.

It gives the exclusive bottling a full-bodied profile with dark fruits, notes of molasses and spices such as cinnamon.

Nose: Dark fruits combine with tobacco, chocolate and leather complemented by orange zest and spices like tarragon and cinnamon
Palate: full-bodied, with wild berries and cocoa, demerara sugar, molasses and fudge
Finish: long and fruity, becoming a little drier towards the end
