New treat with cigars: The Tamdhu Cigar Malt II
Tamdhu builds on the success of the first cigar malt: The new bottling Tamdhu Cigar Malt Release No. 2 is a homage to the traditional pleasure combination of cigar and whisky.
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a robust flavor profile that will stand up to the finest cigars and complement their rich aroma.
Without chill filtration and with an alcohol content of 53.8% vol. Bottled, the whisky mimics the spiciness, aroma and mouthfeel of aged tobacco leaf.
The result: a varied texture and strong taste.
As is usual for the whisky distillery on the banks of the Spey River, the new cigar malt matured in selected first-fill European oak ex-sherry casks, topped with strong Oloroso-type wine.
Tamdhu has relied on Andalusian barrels since it was founded in 1897.
For several years now, the distillery's Speyside single malts have been maturing exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks - the cornerstone for the intensive, fruity taste and the natural depth of color of the whiskies.
