And so the Swede stopped dreaming a good twelve years ago and built his dream come true: his own craft distillery.
Tiny Smogen Whiskey AB produces acclaimed, smoky Swedish single malts.
Since the end of last year, his Kinghaven Single Cask Rums have complemented the portfolio.
Although Caldenby's focus is on whisky, he began cask collecting rum distillate or recently matured rum a few years ago - and finishing the cane spirits for his Kinghaven continental range in premium casks.
The Jamaica 2007/2022 C<>H comes from Caldenby's favorite distillery and was first matured on site under tropical conditions.
Caldenby refined the archetypal Jamaican rum with the popular Marque C<>H in a sherry cask - and deliciously illustrates the skills of both producers.
