The origin of the Remedy Spiced Rum in the American Prohibition. During the alcohol ban in the US, this spiced rum was made as medicine in pharmacies and thus found its way into the pubs and bars of the country.
One hundred years later today, the old recipe has been revived with rums from Barbados, Dominican Republic and Trinidad.
