Summer blooms again: Rare Seasons Summer Edition by Glentauchers

The summer of 2022 has given us 817 hours of sunshine so far.
According to the German Weather Service, this makes it the sunniest summer since weather records began.
We take the residual warmth with us into the transitional period and let the summer bloom again with the new Seasons bottling from Glentauchers.

Glentauchers whisky is generally described as flowery and summery-light.
At least from those who have already tasted it.
Bottled as a single malt whisky, the Speysider is still a rarity.
The Glenauchers 11 Years Refill Sherry Butt #900894 Single Cask Seasons Signatory 51.2%vol was found in the warehouses of the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. 0.7l for the Seasons Summer Edition.

The single cask bottling has had 11 years to prepare for the season.
The Speyside single malt Scotch whiskey matured exclusively in a refill sherry butt.
Bottled at 51.2%vol. Alcohol content, the summer dram unfolds notes of juicy red fruits in combination with sweet cereals, hints of dark chocolate and sparkling exotic fruits.

Nose: juicy red and exotic fruits paired with brown sugar caress the nose - with a hint of warm honey, followed by sweet cereal notes and hints of dried kiwi
Palate: The malt hits the tongue powerful and full-bodied, bringing red and bright, juicy fruits with it again, paired with tones of dark chocolate and floral notes - a tingle of star fruit remains on the tongue
Finish: the malt is wonderfully sweet with ripe fruit - notes reminiscent of a cappuccino - spicy oak sets in and remains aromatically dry on the palate
