The Caol Ila 12 Year old Refill Hogshead 2009/2022 comes from the Scottish Whisky island of Islay.
Matured over 12 years in a refill Hogshead - distilled in August 2009, bottled in February 2022 to just 323 bottles, the Caol Ila 12 Year old Refill Hogshead 2009/2022 is a proud representative of the peaty-smoky Single Malts of the island of Islay.

Nose: Significant iodine and campfire ash, plus rich aromas of streaky bacon and charred oak
Palate: mouth-filling and oily with typical medicinal notes and lots of smoke in the background
Finish: long finish... salted meat and peated malt with gentle, spicy notes
