The Macallan 12 Years Triple Cask is a relative of Macallan's discontinued Fine Oak series.
The Macallan 12 year old Triple Cask is stored in three different types of casks - in former bourbon casks and in former sherry casks made from American and European oak.
The result is a complex single malt with balanced aromas Notes of ripe tropical fruit and spicy oak.
Nose: fruity aromas of ripe citrus fruits and honeydew melons at the beginning, along with fresh vanilla pods and freshly cut oak wood - above all, slightly spicy tones
Palate: mouth-filling, almost creamy with sweet notes of mild heather honey and again vanilla - behind them the melons again, too Mango and passion fruit - followed by the spicy oak again
Finish: long finish with an elegant balance between tropical fruits and spicy oak
