With Arbikie 1794 Highland Rye Single Grain Scotch Whisky, Arbikie honors this "field to bottle" tradition - reviving a thoroughly authentic way of distilling and creating a spirit with provenance.

Arbikie 1794 Highland Rye revisits an old tradition - to create the first Scottish Rye Whiskey in over 100 years, Arbikie naturally used rye as a main ingredient in the production alongside local wheat and malted barley - and judging by the reviews, it was it worth the experiment.

Arbikie 1794 Highland Rye is made from a grain blend of rye, wheat and malted barley.

For the current 1794 edition, the brandy was matured throughout in fresh American oak Casks.

The distillation of rye whiskey revives an old, almost forgotten tradition in Scotland, with the combination of rye and fresh oak being pioneered in this country.

The result is a highly unadulterated whiskey that stimulates the imagination and the senses with its exciting flavor profile.

The fresh American oak complements the aromas of rye, wheat and barley malt grains and imparts a rich color and intense flavor.

Nose: Fresh cloves, nutmeg, Christmas spices and thyme, along with earthy aromas and creamy caramel

Palate: Mouth-filling with a savory variety on the palate - distinct cinnamon and allspice, then mellower notes of brown cane sugar and fresh honey

Finish: medium length with a lingering abundance of spices
