Portrait: What makes the Clydeside Stobcross special
The first bottling of the young "The Clydeside Distillery" from the Scottish Lowlands impresses with unusual elegance and class for such a young Whisky.
A Lowland Malt of the highest quality, thanks to long fermentation, gentle distillation with exceptional - usually high cut points and best wood management.
Named after the road that once led to Queens Dock in Glasgow and where the distillery has now found its home in the dock's former pump house , Clydeside Stobcross presents itself in an eye-catching design, based on the maritime history of the location where it was created.
The Clydeside Stobcross was of course bottled without chill filtration and of course there are no added dyes, but rather a natural coloring.
A selection of excellent former Bourbon and Sherry Casks form the recipe for the first edition of the Clydeside Stobcross, of which 1,500 bottles were made available for the German market.
Future Stobcross batches will change slightly in their composition and gradually contain older proportions.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Clydeside Stobcross tastes like
