The Casks selected for this bottling are 50% former Sherry Casks and 50% former Bourbon Casks .
Nose: sweet, reminiscent of syrup, the Springbank character is immediately present - aromas of honeycomb, molasses and ginger, then fruity aromas of ripe strawberries, violets and raisins
Taste: fresh hazelnuts and liquorice, followed by a light smoky note from peat - maple syrup with wild berries and dark blackberries
Finish: creamy, almost velvety-soft in the finish - a salty note, with freshly cut wood and burned embers - some milk chocolate and malt
