Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, the Kirk & Sweeney Gran Reserva Superior the oldest rum of the three Kirk & Sweeney siblings.
Produced under the very strict regulations to be able to bear the title "Dominican Rum".
The process begins with hand-harvested, high-quality sugar cane that is pure.
The by-product of the sugar cane, "Blackstrap Molasses", is then carefully fermented and distilled.
The Kirk & Sweeney Gran Reserva Superior is then aged in a variety of American and French oak casks, with the distiller performing various steps over the years - the dumping, blending and re-barreling.
The final blend is a selection of rum qualities of different ages - up to qualities up to 25 years old are carefully selected by hand.
The Kirk & Sweeney Gran Reserva Superior is an elegant Dominican rum with subtle notes ranging from dried fruit and sweet toasted bread and toffee to fresh honey with faint hints of almonds and vanilla.
